President
President Chuang holds an academic background in International Hotel Management from the University of Surrey UK. Her extensive experience in the hospitality industry has earned her widespread recognition. Before taking the helm of Cathay Hospitality Management, President Chuang served as Vice President and General Manager at several leading five-star hotels in Taiwan, including The Westin Taipei, Sheraton Yilan Resort Taiwan, and Leofoo Resort, accumulating a wealth of management experience.
Under President Chuang’s leadership, Cathay Hospitality Management, established in 2012, has rapidly expanded its footprint. Within just three years, the group has created two brands-Hotel Cozzi and Madison Taipei Hotel and opened five properties, quickly gaining recognition. Subsequently, she set her sights on the international luxury hotel market, partnering with Marriott International to establish Courtyard Taipei Downtown Hotel in 2019, bringing the unique “Taiwanese hospitality” to the global stage. In 2020, the opening of the group’s flagship hotel, COZZI Blu, marked a new milestone for Cathay Hospitality Management in the international tourism and hospitality sector.
Currently, Cathay Hospitality Management boasts three hotel brands, seven hotels, and over 1,200 rooms, successfully catering to the diverse needs of its guests. Moving forward, Cathay Hospitality Management will continue to pursue diversified operations. In addition to maintain steady growth in its core hotel business, the company will actively expand into food and beverage management, enhance the benefits of its “AMAZZING CLUB” loyalty member program, and provide professional hotel management consulting services to assist more operators in achieving success in the hotel industry.
Mr. Simon Chen holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu. He has consistently received recognition within the industry and has been awarded the “Chinese Youth Entrepreneur Award,” the “Youth Entrepreneur Role Model Award,” the “Excellent Businessman Award,” and the recognized “EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award,” referred to as the “Olympics for Entrepreneurs.”
